भारतीय संगीत के रचनाकार : हिंदुस्तानी संगीत के उस्तादों ने ध्रुपद, ख़याल, ठुमरी आदि की अनंत बंदिशें बनाई हैं। रागदारी, लयकारी आदि की समझ विकसित करने में इन बंदिशों का भारी योगदान माना जाता है। इन बंदिशों में रचनाकार का असली नाम नहीं रहता। वह अपना कोई उपनाम बनाता है और उसी का अपनी रचनाओं में प्रयोग करता है। उपनाम को छाप भी कहते हैं। यहाँ इन उपनामों की सूची दी जा रही है ताकि जिज्ञासुओं को उपनामों के साथ उस्तादों के असली नामों का पता भी चल सके। मेरे इस प्रयास को शुरुआत ही माना जाए क्योंकि बंदिशकार अनगिनत हैं। हो सकता है इस सूची में त्रुटियाँ रह गई हों। जानकारों से अनुरोध है उनसे अवगत कराने का कष्ट करें। निश्चय ही इन नामों के अलावा अन्य बहुत से नामों की जानकारी आपके पास हो सकती है। उनसे भी अवगत कराएँ ताकि इस सूची को अधिकाधिक प्रामाणिक और पूर्ण बनाया जा सके। Aalam - Alamara Begum Khaasmahal Adarang - Firoz Khan (nephew) Ahmedpiya/Ahmed - Alladiya Khan Akhtar Piya - Wajid Ali shah Amar - Aman Ali Khan Amardas/Amarpiya-NavrangNagpurkar Amarpiya - Aman Ali Khan (Bhendi bazaar) ...

Different Sitar Gharanas

All the Gharanas are mentioned except Etawah Gharana and Maihar Gharana - which are treated as the most prominent Sitar Gharanas today. There are several articles available on Internet on these two Gharanas and Maestros. Jaipur Sitar Gharana Bahadur Sen, son of legendary Masit Khan used to stay in Jaipur and continued to play Sitar. They used to use title ‘Sen’ after their names as they claimed themselves to be descendants of Miyan Taan Sen, i.e. member of Senia Gharana. Masit Khan’s nephew, Dulha Khan was n extraordinary Sitarist of his time. Rahim Sen,  son of Sukh Sen, the ‘mul-purush’ of Senia Gharana , married the daughter of Dulha Khan. Rahim Sen got talim from both, father Sukh Sen and father-in-law Dulha Khan. Rahim Sen and his brother Hussain Khan were very popular Sitarists of their time. संगीत घराने और उनकी विशेषताएं (Received on WA message from Nirav Mehta)  हिंदुस्तानी संगीत के प्रमुख घराने :  1. ग्वालियर घराना 2. आगरा घराना 3. किराना घराना 4. बनारस घराना 5. जयपुर-अतरौली घराना 6. रामपुर-सहस्वान घराना 7. पटियाला घराना 8. दिल्ली घराना 9. भिंडी बाज़ार घराना 10. मेवाती घराना ___________  ग्वालियर घराना :  ग्वालियर घराना हिंदुस्तानी संगीत का सबसे प्राचीन घराना है। हस्सू खाँ, हद्दू खाँ के दादा उस्ताद नत्थन पीरबख्श को इस घराने का जन्मदाता कहा जाता है। दिल्ली के राजा ने इनको अपने पास बुला लिया था। इनके दो पुत्र थे-कादिर बख्श और पीर बख्श। इनमें कादिर बख्श को ग्वालियर के महाराज दौलत राव जी ने अपने राज्य में नौकर रख लिया था। कादिर बख्श के तीन पुत्र थे जिनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं- हद्दू खाँ, हस्सू खाँ और नत्थू खाँ। ये तीनों भाई मशहूर ख्याल गाने वाले और ग्वालियर राज्य के दरबारी उस्ताद थे। इसी परम्परा के शिष्य बालकृष्ण बुआ इचलकरजीकर थे। इनके शिष्य पं. विष्णु दिगम्बर पलुस्कर थे। पलुस्कर जी के प्रसिद्ध शिष्य ओंकारनाथ ठाकुर, विनायक राव...
